BGF Backed Nursing Home Group Acquires New Facility

Leading Irish nursing home group Brindley Healthcare has acquired the 79-bed Maynooth Lodge Nursing Home in Co Kildare in a deal worth over €10 million. The acquisition means the group now owns and operates 9 nursing homes with a combined capacity of over 500 beds located in Counties Donegal, Galway, Mayo, Kildare and Laois.

Earlier this year, Ireland’s largest growth capital investor BGF acquired a significant minority stake worth €10 million in Brindley Healthcare, while former Tanaiste and Minister for Health, Mary Harney, was also appointed to the company’s board.

Maynooth Lodge Nursing Home is a purpose-built, state-of-the-art nursing home that commenced trading in October 2015. It is a single-storey nursing home comprising 75 single bedrooms and 2 double bedrooms, all with ensuite facilities, and sits on a three-acre site adjacent to NUI Maynooth.
